 Southampton will be hosting manchester city at St Mary's Stadium on Saturday, 8 April.

       The match sees two sides go head to head with very important, but different fights on their hands. Southampton are currently at the bottom of the table with a four points difference from safety, while Manchester City who are sitting second in the premier league will be looking for a win to boost their hopes of winning a third consecutive league title

Julian Alvarez, Jack Grealish, Kelvin De Bruyne, and Gundogan were all on the scoresheet. while Southampton visited their fellow relegation battlers with aim of positive results to kickstart a timely survival surge from the relegation zone but an early goal from Nayef Aguerds from west ham decided the game leaving the visitors still sitting at the bottom of the table and failing to score for the 12th time this season.

Southampton has the worst home record in the premier league this season having secured only ten points. They have gone four games without a win after they lost a 1 – 0 to wet ham last weekend

   Manchester City extended their winning run to four games and their unbeaten run to seven games last weekend against Liverpool  

    Manchester City are, as expected to extend their great run, which has seen them score 17 goals in their last three games in all competitions and conceded only once
